Hey Boston 🤍
Coming in hot with your rave report for the weekend. This is Lyndsay Simon, a 30…somthing… raver and DJ. Keep up with me here! 👽
Not gonna lie, this time of year can feel heavy. It is cold, it gets dark early, and it is way easier to stay on the couch scrolling than it is to put on real clothes and go out. I feel it too. But I really do not believe that winter means we are supposed to hide.
Honestly, nothing pulls me out of a funk faster than music and a dance floor. Even just going out for an hour, hearing a good track, smiling at a stranger, moving your body a little, it can completely shift your mood. It reminds you that there are real people out there feeling the same way you are.
This week is a bit lighter with the holidays coming up, and that is actually kind of perfect. Less pressure, less chaos, more space to check out smaller local nights. A lot of the events I listed are free or low cost and run by local DJs and organizers who are building something real here. Showing up really does support the community, not just a big club door.
And if you are someone who loves this music but feels like you have no one to go with, I want you to hear this. These are totally safe events to go to alone. That is exactly how I met most of my friends in Boston. I started going out solo, and now I have more friends than I ever did before. The dance floor makes it way easier than you think.
So fight the urge to stay in. Come out, even briefly. I am excited for you.

New Year’s Plans?
I was not planning to do anything for New Year’s and fully expected to be somewhere warm. But there really was not a proper house option in the city, and it felt wrong not to create something. So I’m doing a full venue takeover at Blondies in Brighton. Very on brand. It’s a two-story, intimate spot and it’s going to feel like one big house family party. We kept tickets very affordable on purpose. This is for real house music lovers, not a cheesy New Year’s crowd. Just dancing, connection, and starting the year right. Send this to your friends, grab tickets, and come celebrate with us.

If you’re tired of the alcohol loop, drink, feel loose, play your set, wake up hungover, repeat, this is your sign. With 🍄, I feel way more creative in my music process and way more present on the dance floor. I used to think booze made me play better, but honestly it just made me louder, sloppier, and pukey the next day.
On the dance floor, micr*dosing hits the sweet spot: Clear head and open heart. One gummy can feel like a couple of tequila red bulls without the dehydration, ego spirals, or next day regret. You stay present, locked into the music, and genuinely connected to the people around you. Perfect for house music, long sets, and nights where you want to dance for hours and have an afterglow the next morning. People will tell you you’re glowing and ask what you’re on, and you’ll laugh because you feel completely clear headed, and still yourself the next morning.
